As Qingdao’s temperature climbed to 35℃, Histar® launched its “Summer Cooling Initiative”, delivering thoughtful heat-relief measures to both workshop and R&D teams.
In production areas, industrial cooling systemshttps://www.hhistar.com/ were installed to keep workshop temperatures under 28℃. Employees also enjoyed daily servings of iced mung bean soup and plum juice. Field engineers received “cooling kits” equipped with sun-protective sleeves and portable fans, ensuring comfort in outdoor operations.
To reduce fatigue from hot weather, Histar® adjusted summer working hours to 8 AM – 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. The company also opened a rooftop garden rest area, complete with board games and a mini-library. “Playing billiards under the shade at noon helps me stay focused in the afternoon,” said R&D engineer Xiao Li.
Health and safety were key priorities. Community doctors provided heatstroke prevention training, while first-aid kits were placed on every floor. “In a small company, making employees feel at home matters more,” said the Admin Supervisor, who also announced an upcoming ‘Family Open Day’ to invite relatives into the factory and strengthen team cohesion.
Through this initiative, Histar® reaffirmed its commitment to employee wellbeing and created a workplace culture full of care and warmth.
