Histar® Hosts First "Craftsman Skills Competition" to Elevate Technician Training

Mr. Wang, leader of the quality control team, won first place with a flawless performance, completing the task in just 8 minutes and 15 seconds.

A key highlight was the “blind assembly” challenge, designed to simulate low-light field conditions and test technicians’ muscle memory of the splicer’s structure. After the competition, the winning technicians recorded training videos for new hires, sharing practical techniques such as the “3-Step Electrode Replacement Method.” These have now been officially incorporated into standard operation manuals.

“Even small competitions matter—every screw’s torque affects splicing precision,” said the Production Manager, who also announced that monthly skill contests will be launched to build a hands-on talent development system.
